The Garden of thoughts

L. Viglioni - 2025-08-13

The Tail Recursion Tales is my little corner of the internet where I share thoughts about programming, life, and everything in between. I’m Laura Viglioni, a Brazilian computer scientist who spends way too much time thinking about functional programming and tinkering with Emacs configurations, and I maintain this space. While I’ll be writing many of the posts, this is also a space where friends and fellow travelers will share their own stories and insights. You’ll find contributions from people with backgrounds in computer science, mathematics, engineering, arts, philosophy, literature, and other fields who’ve decided to add their voices to this little digital space. Some days we’ll dive deep into programming paradigms or walk through complex mathematical concepts. Other days, someone might share a tutorial they wish they’d had when they were learning, or I might ramble about a tool that’s been driving me crazy (or making my life easier). Sometimes we’ll just write about life – the small moments, observations, or random thoughts that don’t fit into any technical category but feel worth sharing anyway. I like to think of each post as a conversation starter rather than a definitive statement. Whether it’s a deep technical dive or a simple reflection on daily life, everything here comes from a genuine place – the same care I try to put into writing clean, thoughtful code. If you’re a developer, a student, someone curious about technology, or just enjoy reading different perspectives on life and work, you might find something here that resonates. We write in both Brazilian language and English because our little community spans different places and languages. Welcome to The Tail Recursion Tales – it’s a bit of a mixed bag, but that’s exactly how we like it. Click here for more information
